The digital economy is moving from the consumer Internet era to the industrial Internet era. To the industrial city of Ningbo, this is undoubtedly the opportunity period for the curve overtaking. Last October, Mr.Peng Jiaxue, member of the Standing Committee of the CPC Provincial Committee and secretary of the CPC Ningbo Municipal Committee, stressed the need to accelerate the development of the digital economy at the regular meeting on high-quality development of the city’s manufacturing industry.

In this year’s Report on the work of the Ningbo Municipal Government, “Strengthening innovation and digital economy” is regarded as an important path to speed up the construction of a high-level innovative city and a global advanced intelligent manufacturing highland. According to the report, in the next five years, great efforts should be made to develop the digital economy, foster and expand digital manufacturing and services, build an “industrial brain + future factory”, and increase the added value of the digital economy to more than 350 billion yuan.

The lack of an innovation platform for digital economy talents is another problem in the development of the Digital Economy in Ningbo.
